2022 Mercedes-Benz EQE Revealed, Electric E-Class Ready To Take On Tesla Model S
The Mercedes-Benz EQE has been revealed and will come in 2 variants upon its market launch in mid-2022 – the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 and a 4MATIC version.
About the size of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the Mercedes-Benz EQE is an ideal alternative to the Tesla Model S, albeit with more automotive experience.
The EV numbers - Mercedes-Benz EQE
EV figures first, the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 has a 90-kWh battery capacity with a 660-km WLTP range. The EQE 350 has a 215 kW (292 PS) power output while performance variants of the QEQ are expected to have power outputs of around 500 kW (679 PS).
As for charging, the Mercedes-Benz EQE is capable of 170-KW DC fast charging that gives the car 250 km of range in 15 minutes. As for AC charging, 11-kW charging is standard while 22-kW charging is optional.

Exterior - Mercedes-Benz EQE
On the outside, the Mercedes-Benz EQE features a sporty ‘purpose design’ with all the characteristic elements of Mercedes-EQ – one-bow lines and cab-forward design.
The overhangs are kept short, and the rear provides the dynamic accent with a sharp rear spoiler.
Interior & MBUX - Mercedes-Benz EQE
The interior dimensions exceed those of today’s E-Class (W 213), as the EQE offers more shoulder room (+27 mm), interior length (+80 mm) and a taller seating position (+65 mm)
The MBUX Hyperscreen is an optional extra. The Hyperscreen consists of three screens sitting under a glass cover that appear to merge into one. The 12.3-inch OLED display for the front passenger gives them their own display and control area.
In Europe, the front seat passenger is also able to watch dynamic content while on the move. This is because the Mercedes-EQ uses an intelligent, camera-based blocking logic: if the camera detects that the driver is looking at the front passenger display, this is automatically dimmed for certain content.
The Zero-layer design of the MBUX means the user has to scroll through 0 menu levels to get to the most important applications of MBUX.
