Volkswagen Touareg price slashed to RM400k, down by RM70k

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced a price revision for the Volkswagen Touareg R-Line, a premium SUV that made its Malaysian debut in March 2024. The updated price is now set at RM402,272 on-the-road, excluding insurance, and comes with the optional Volkswagen Assurance Package (VAP). This RM17,300 add on extends the warranty to 5 years with unlimited mileage and includes a 5 year maintenance plan.

For those seeking a cheaper way to own the Touareg, the car costs just RM384,972 without the VAP, which means just the standard 2-year warranty would apply.

To provide context, the Touareg was initially introduced at RM454,272 without VAP and RM472,272 with it. With this adjustment, the price has been reduced by RM69,300 for the standard version and RM70,000 for the variant equipped with VAP.

Specifications-wise there are no changes with the VW Touareg, as it comes with the full R-Line kit and is still powered by a robust 3.0-litre TSI V6 petrol engine, delivering an impressive 340 PS (335 hp or 250 kW) and 450 Nm of torque.
