From RM92k, 2026 Chery Tiggo Cross Sport launched in Malaysia – sporty styling, same engine
Chery Malaysia has launched the Chery Tiggo Cross Sport, priced at RM 91,800. It is essentially based on the 1.5L Turbo variant of the Chery Tiggo Cross lineup, now kitted out with more aggressive styling. As a reference, the Chery Tiggo Cross 1.5L Turbo variant is priced at RM 88,800.
Dimension-wise, the Chery Tiggo Cross Sport measures 4,318 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, and 1,670 mm tall, with a 2,610 mm wheelbase. It is 62 mm shorter in length and 61 mm taller in height than the Proton X50. On the exterior, the Chery Tiggo Cross Sport gets a sporty front bumper lip, a sporty rear bumper, and ‘Sport’ emblems on the front and rear, giving the car a sportier look. Other exterior features that come as standard include automatic LED headlights with a Follow-Me-Home function, LED Daytime Running Lights, LED taillights, rear fog lights, roof rails, and a rear roof spoiler.
Under the bonnet, the Chery Tiggo Cross Sport retains the 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 147 PS and 210 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission, driving the front two wheels. It comes with three drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, and is capable of a 0–100 km/h sprint in 10.3 seconds. The Chery Tiggo Cross Sport rides on MacPherson strut suspension at the front, while the rear is handled by a torsion beam. Wheel size is 18 inches, wrapped in Giti Comfort 520 V1, sized at 215/55 R18.
Step inside the Chery Tiggo Cross remains unchanged. Interior features that come as standard include a 10.25-inch centre infotainment touchscreen display, a 10.25-inch driver cluster display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, black faux-leather seat upholstery, a 15W wireless charger, ambient lighting, and rear air vents. The driver gets a six-way power-adjustable seat with lumbar support, while the front passenger seat can only be adjusted manually.
Safety-wise, the Chery Tiggo Cross Sport comes equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance System 2.0 as standard, bundled together with a comprehensive suite of active and passive safety features, such as Integrated Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, six airbags, and a 360-degree panoramic camera, among others.
To recap, the Chery Tiggo Cross Sport has been launched in Malaysia at a price of RM 91,800. It comes with a seven-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty and 6 times free labour service.
