Toyota teases its upcoming all-electric SUV ahead of March debut
Toyota is gearing up to introduce its next all-electric vehicle, and early glimpses suggest it will be a major step up from its current EV lineup. With a sleek, modern design and an emphasis on space and versatility, this new model is part of Toyota’s ongoing strategy to attract more buyers to its growing electric fleet.
On Tuesday, Toyota released a teaser image and video, giving us a sneak peek at what’s to come. The teaser showcases a crossover coupe-like silhouette with a smooth, sweeping hood line. The rear features a striking lightbar stretching across the back, while the front adopts Toyota’s new “hammerhead” design language, reminiscent of the upcoming 2025 Camry.

Although the vehicle appears compact, Toyota hints that it will offer “surprising space” and versatility, reinforcing the idea that it will be positioned as a crossover SUV.
Industry insiders believe this new model could be the production version of the bZ Compact Crossover, which Toyota first revealed as a concept in 2022. If that’s the case, it will likely slot between the current bZ4X electric SUV and Toyota’s new Urban Cruiser, a small SUV aimed at city drivers.
This new EV will be part of Toyota’s European electric lineup, reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding its battery-electric offerings. While Toyota hasn’t provided details on performance, range, or pricing yet, these key specs are expected to be revealed soon.
Toyota has set March 12 as the official unveiling date for this new electric crossover. At that time, we’ll get a full look at its design, features, and—perhaps most importantly—its performance specs and pricing.
With competition heating up in the EV market, Toyota is signaling that it’s ready to push forward with a fresh approach. If this new model delivers on its promise of style, space, and innovation, it could be a strong contender in the growing electric SUV segment. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the reveal.
