MINI Aceman launched in Malaysia – a mini MINI Countryman SE from RM 213,888
MINI Malaysia has launched the MINI Aceman, slotting itself between the Cooper SE and the bulkier Countryman SE, the Aceman aims to be the middle ground for those who want a bit more space but without going full Countryman. It’s only available in the ‘SE’ variant, with a price tag starting at RM213,888 on-the-road, minus insurance.
That price gets you the basic two-year, unlimited-mileage warranty, but if you opt for the four-year warranty and service package, it bumps the cost up to RM221,288.
Styling-wise, there’s a closed-off octagonal grille, some neat-looking headlamps with bold daytime running lights, and retractable door handles for that sleek touch. Around the back, you’ll spot the signature Union Jack tail lights. Standard kit includes 19-inch ‘Hexagram’ spoke wheels, roof rails, and skid plates.
Inside, it’s tech-forward with a glowing dashboard and a massive 9.4-inch circular OLED touchscreen. This serves as the command centre for all things MINI, including navigation, infotainment, and vehicle functions, powered by MINI Operating System 9. You also get the brand’s new avatar-enabled digital assistant, a head-up display, and a digital key system for supported devices.
The MINI Connected Store offers optional upgrades like the Connected Package, which unlocks features like augmented reality navigation, 3D building visualisation, and even in-car gaming.
There’s also dual-zone climate control, powered John Cooper Works front seats with memory function, a sport steering wheel, wireless charging, and a Harman Kardon 10-speaker sound system for blasting your favourite tunes.
Under the skin, the Aceman SE packs a nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) battery with a 54.2 kWh capacity, good for a range of up to 406 km based on WLTP standards. The battery feeds a front-mounted electric motor, pushing out 218 PS and 330 Nm of torque. Enough to get you from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, with a top speed of 170 km/h.
As for charging, the Aceman supports AC charging at 11 kW and DC fast charging at 95 kW, which means you can juice the battery from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes on a fast charger.
In terms of driver assistance, the Aceman comes loaded with lane change warning, speed limit info, passive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert, and front collision warning with automatic emergency braking. You also get Parking Assistant Plus with Active Park Distance Control, a reversing camera, and Remote 3D View.
