2025 Toyota Camry launches in Thailand: From RM 188k, hybrid-only with 227hp

The 2025 Toyota Camry (XV80) has officially landed in Thailand, with three flavours to choose, all of which are hybrids. There’s the HEV Smart, priced at THB 1.475 million (~RM 188k), the mid-range HEV Premium at THB 1.659 million (~RM 211k), and the top-shelf HEV Premium Luxury at THB 1.809 million (~RM 230k).

Powering all three is a 2.5-litre Dynamic Force Hybrid setup that blends a petrol engine (186 PS, 221 Nm) with an electric motor for a total of 227 PS. Toyota’s favoured E-CVT handles transmission duties, pushing the power to the front wheels.

It’s business as usual under the hood except for the battery. The nickel-metal hydride is replaced by a lightweight 1.006 kWh lithium-ion pack.

Step inside, you’ll find 8-way power-adjustable seats up front, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and depending on variant, a 9-speaker JBL sound system. Other creature comforts include a Qi wireless charger, a head-up display, digital instrument cluster, and a voice command system.

As for safety, the 2025 Toyota Camry comes armed with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, featuring all the tech you’d expect in a car of this calibre.

There’s Pre-Collision with Pedestrian Detection, full-speed range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control for those long motorway slogs, and a suite of lane-keeping and assistive tech like Lane Tracing Assist and Lane Departure Alert. Add in Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Proactive Driving Assist.
