2024 MINI Cooper S 5-Door previewed in Malaysia, from an estimated RM 293,000

The F65-generation MINI Cooper S 5-Door has just landed in Malaysia, sharing the spotlight with the electric MINI Aceman SE crossover.

Price-wise, the Cooper S 5-Door is expected to start at RM293,000, and if you want the full care package – the MINI Extended Warranty and Service Package – you’re looking at a grand total of RM303,400.

Under the bonnet sits the same trusty 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four, packing a respectable 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque. That power’s fed to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, giving you a decent 6.8-second sprint from 0 to 100 km/h and a top speed of 242 km/h.

On the outside, the F65 keeps things stylish with 18-inch ‘Slide Spoke’ two-tone alloys, high beam assistance on the headlamps, and the signature MINI contrasting roof and mirror finish. The tail lamps now offer three selectable light signatures.

Step inside, and you’re greeted with vegan Vescin leather seats dressed in a perforated houndstooth pattern, accented by blue textile inserts. The dashboard and doors continue the eco-friendly theme with recycled polyester in a two-tone knit fabric.

Up front, the tech package is led by a 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen running on MINI’s latest Operating System 9, with MINI Experience Modes thrown in for extra flair. You’ll also find comfort access, a mirror package, selectable driving modes, anti-dazzle interior mirrors, and ISOFIX mounts for child seats.

Safety-wise, the F65 Cooper S 5-Door comes well-stocked with lane change and departure warnings, front collision alerts, rear cross-traffic warnings, active cruise control with stop-and-go, and even a lane control assistant. Parking is made easier with the parking assistant plus and reversing assistant, plus the Remote 3D View.
