Ferrari HC25 unveiled, one-off supercar based on F8 Spider
Ferrari has added another exclusive model to its line-up of bespoke creations with the unveiling of the Ferrari HC25, a one-off vehicle developed under the brand’s Special Projects programme. Revealed during Ferrari Racing Days at the Circuit of the Americas in the USA, the unique supercar was designed by the Ferrari Design Studio led by Flavio Manzoni. The Ferrari HC25 is based on the Ferrari F8 Spider but was reimagined and built according to the vision of a single client.
As mentioned, the Ferrari HC25 is derived from the now-discontinued Ferrari F8 Spider, the final mid-engined non-hybrid V8 open-top Ferrari. Beneath its redesigned exterior, it retains the same layout, chassis, and internal combustion powertrain. Despite sharing its underpinnings, the HC25 features a completely new exterior design. At first glance, its styling reflects the futuristic aesthetic of the Ferrari F80. In many ways, the HC25 serves as a bridge between Ferrari’s past and future, concluding the story of its iconic mid-rear-engined V8 platform while embracing the design direction seen in models such as the Ferrari 12Cilindri and the F80.
The Ferrari HC25 is defined by a dual-volume structure, where the front and rear appear as two separate bodies connected by a three-dimensional central band. This ‘black ribbon’ integrates essential thermal-management elements, including radiator air intakes and heat extraction outlets for the powertrain. Power comes from a pure non-hybrid 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, producing 720 PS and 770 Nm of torque sent exclusively to the rear wheels — magnifico.
The Ferrari HC25’s proportions are designed to minimise the visual impact of the windows and create a lower, sleeker shoulder line. An arrow-shaped character line flows from the rear wheels to the front, curves over the door handle, and merges into the rear screen, emphasising the muscular rear while giving the cabin a forward-moving stance. The door handle is seamlessly integrated into a long aluminium blade that blends smoothly with the bodywork.
Its lighting units are also fully integrated into the design, featuring ultra-slim headlamps with new Ferrari-developed modules and a central indentation that mirrors the split rear lights. For the first time, the vertical DRLs form a distinctive boomerang shape along the front wings.
The exterior is finished in matte Moonlight Grey with yellow accents on the Ferrari badges and brake callipers. Inside, the cabin combines technical grey fabric with yellow graphics inspired by the boomerang motifs seen on the exterior and DRLs. A Prancing Horse signature is the five-spoke wheel design, sized at 20-inch for the Ferrari HC25, highlighted by a diamond-finished outer rim and double-recessed grooves that visually enlarge the wheels.
Ferrari has not announced an official price for the HC25, as it is part of the Special Projects programme, which creates tailor-made Ferraris based on individual client requests. Each project is developed in close collaboration with the client and typically takes around two years from design to final verification.
