2026 Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT launched in Malaysia, from RM129k

Angka-Tan Motor (ATM) has launched the Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT light-duty truck in Malaysia, priced at RM128,800, during the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026. The Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT is the first Chinese-brand light-duty truck in Malaysia to be equipped with an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). The upgraded model is the latest addition to the Foton line-up, following the introduction of the Foton Auman R Euro 5 AMT in November 2025.

Under the bonnet — or perhaps the cab — sits the Cummins ISF 3.8-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, which complies with Euro 5 emissions standards for cleaner emissions. The engine produces 154 PS and 500 Nm of torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a new ZF six-speed automated manual transmission. The transmission is engineered to provide smoother gear changes, improving fuel economy and reducing driver fatigue, especially in stop-start traffic.

According to Foton, the combination of the Euro 5 engine and new AMT helps lower maintenance costs through extended service intervals, while also reducing fuel consumption. The company also claims the reliability of the new truck has been enhanced through more than 3,000,000 km of real-world testing across diverse operating conditions. In addition, the new transmission is more driver-friendly, enabling businesses to tap into a wider pool of drivers.

Dimension-wise, the Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT measures 6,930 mm in length, 2,060 mm in width, and 2,250 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,800 mm. Gross vehicle weight ranges from 7,500 kg to 9,900 kg. The truck offers versatile cargo-carrying capabilities, allowing businesses to handle a variety of delivery operations. It is built on a rigid body structure and features a cab design that protects occupants in accordance with ECE R29 international standards, as part of Foton’s “Super Truck Global Innovation Alliance”.

In terms of safety, the Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT comes equipped with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Anti-Slip Regulation, which modulates wheelspin on slippery surfaces for improved control, and Hill Start Assist, which ensures safer acceleration on inclines by preventing rollback. The truck comes with a six-year / 300,000 km warranty, along with Foton Total Care backed by Tan Chong Group’s service network, providing nationwide after-sales support and access to genuine Foton parts.
