BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tyres launched in Malaysia, from RM825
BFGoodrich Malaysia has just launched its latest all-terrain tyre, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3. Upon launch, the T/A KO3 is available in 39 sizes, ranging from 15- to 20-inch tyres and with prices ranging from RM825 to RM2,946.
The plan is to introduce a full range of 62 sizes over the next 24 months. Following the initial 39 available sizes, 19 more sizes will be made available starting 2025 and another 4 sizes are set to arrive in 2026.
Succeeding the KO2 tyres, the BF Goodrich All-terrain T/A KO3 is said to have been improved in several aspects. This includes:
- Improved treadwear (15% longer mileage vs KO2)
- Improved toughness (20% more cut/chip resistance vs KO2)
- Improved traction in mud/snow vs KO2
- Improved traction (stops 4.2m shorter vs KO2)
Building on the off-road performance that the KO2 offers, the KO3 was tailored to the evolving needs of “adventure-seekers” by incorporating the latest tyre technology. Among the design highlights of the new T/A KO3 tyres are:
- Full-depth 3D-locking sipes & snow/mud notches
- Updated serrated shoulder design & mud-phobic vars
- All-terrain tread compound
- Interlocking tread elements
- New all-terrain tread compound
- Coregard technology (designed to protect critical sidewall failure zone, split & bruise resistant sidewal rubber derived from BFGoodrich’s race-proven BAJA T/A KR3 tyres.
In terms of aesthetics, the BF Goodrich T/A KO3 is decorated with the BAJA Champion logo and raised white letters (for most sizes, not all). The tire size lettering is also now easier to read thanks to its larger & bolder font and its consistent position for all tyre sizes.
