2025 Mazda CX-80 launched in Malaysia – RM 332k, 2.5L PHEV, 328 PS, 6-seater SUV

Bermaz has launched the 2025 Mazda CX-80. Positioned above the CX-60, the Mazda CX-80 is a three-row SUV offered in a single 2.5L PHEV AWD High Plus variant, priced at RM 331,610.

The plug-in hybrid pairs a 2.5-litre NA four-cylinder (191 PS/261 Nm) with a 175 PS/270 Nm electric motor, for combined outputs of 328 PS and 500 Nm. Power is sent through an eight-speed automatic to all four wheels.

A 17.8 kWh lithium-ion battery provides up to 65 km of EV range (NEDC) and can be charged at up to 7.2 kW AC, reaching 0–100% in 2 hours 30 minutes. Top speed is 195 km/h.

Measuring 4,995 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, 1,705 mm tall with a 3,120 mm wheelbase, the CX-80 weighs 2,342 kg and has 175 mm ground clearance. Suspension layout mirrors the CX-60 with double wishbones in front and multi-link at the rear. It rides on 20-inch alloys with 235/50R20 tyres.

Inside, the CX-80 is configured as a six-seater with second-row captain seats (heated, ventilated, and power reclining) and a centre console. The third row is a pair of 50:50 split-folding seats. Upholstery is tan Nappa leather.

Equipment matches the CX-60 with 12.3-inch infotainment, 12.3-inch digital cluster, HUD, and a 12-speaker Bose system, but gains six USB-C ports. Safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, smart brake support, blind spot monitoring, driver monitoring, seven airbags, plus off-road traction assist.

The CX-80 is offered in Melting Copper Metallic, Rhodium White, Artisan Red, Platinum Quartz, and Jet Black. Warranty and free service coverage match the CX-60 at five years/100,000 km.
