2025 BMW iX facelift launched in Malaysia: From RM 461k – Here’s what’s new
BMW Malaysia has has launched the 2025 BMW iX facelift.
Now offered in two variants, the new base variant is the iX xDrive45 Sport, replacing the discontinued xDrive40. With it comes improved specs: dual motors delivering a total of 408 PS and 700 Nm, and a much larger 100.6 kWh battery. Range is now up to 602 km WLTP, a big leap from the previous 425 km. It does 0–100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, and supports AC charging up to 22 kW (5 hours for a full charge) and DC fast charging at 175 kW (10–80% in 34 minutes). It’s priced at RM 460,700 with the five-year warranty and six-year service package.
The top variant, iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro, succeeds the previous xDrive50 and introduces slightly higher outputs at 544 PS and 765 Nm, while maintaining the same 0–100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds. The bigger 111.5 kWh battery offers 701 km of range (up from 630 km before), and supports faster 195 kW DC charging. Price? RM 522,700 with the full ownership package.
Visually, you’ll spot the facelifted iX by its sharper LED headlamps with the new vertical DRL signature, a glowing kidney grille, and minor bumper revisions. The Sport design is now standard, while the M Sport Pro brings a more aggressive front end, red brake calipers, and 22-inch Style 1025 M wheels.
Both variants now come standard with adaptive air suspension. As for features, both get Operating System 8.5, alongside the Harman Kardon 18-speaker system, Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof, and four-zone climate control.
Inside, the differences lie mostly in trim. The xDrive45 Sport gets the Atelier interior (in Oyster, Mocha, or Black), while the xDrive60 steps up to the Interior Design Suite with M sport seats, Alcantara trim, and a round M steering wheel.
Standard safety includes the full suite of Driving Assistant Professional, with lane centring, adaptive cruise, and autonomous braking, plus Parking Assistant Plus with 3D view.
