Previewed at the 2026 Singapore Motorshow last January, the Proton e.MAS 5 is the second electric vehicle from Proton to enter the Singapore market; the first was the Proton e.MAS 7.
Listed below is the price comparison for the Proton e.MAS 5 Premium variant in both the Singapore and Malaysian markets:
- Singapore Proton e.MAS 5 Premium – SGD159,988 (RM494,555)
- Malaysia Proton e.MAS 5 Premium – RM72,800
The Proton e.MAS 5 is distributed by the Vincar Group, offering the B-segment EV in a single variant — the top-spec Premium trim. The SGD159,988 price tag also includes a guaranteed COE (Certificate of Entitlement), a 10-year battery warranty, and five years of data roaming coverage across both Singapore and Malaysia, along with cross-border warranty support. Customers who book during the event will receive a SGD5,000 discount, equivalent to approximately RM15,100.
The Proton e.MAS 5 Premium comes standard with an array of comfort and convenience features, including an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leatherette seat upholstery, automatic climate control with rear air vents, a power tailgate, six airbags, and an ADAS suite.
Specification-wise, the Proton e.MAS 5 Premium sold in Singapore is identical to the version offered in Malaysia. It is powered by a 40.16 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that provides up to 325 km of WLTP-rated range. Peak DC charging of 71 kW allows the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in 21 minutes. AC charging supports up to 6.6 kW, enabling a 10% to 100% charge in 5.9 hours.
The rear-mounted electric motor produces 116 PS and 150 Nm of torque, qualifying the Proton e.MAS 5 for the Category A COE, which applies to electric vehicles with a maximum motor output of 150 PS. The price of a Category A COE, based on the first bidding exercise of May 2026, is SGD124,790 (RM386,000), representing a 1.4% increase from the previous exercise.
