“LCI II” G20 BMW 3 Series lineup nears completion in Malaysia – ACC now standard, up by RM5k

The 2025 BMW 320i Sport and 330i M Sport finally make their physical debut in Malaysia, joining the 2025 330 Li that was unveiled during the recent Malaysia Autoshow. Currently displayed at Sentul Depot for MY BMW World 2025, the 320i Sport costs RM299,200 while the 330i M Sport costs RM335,200.

If you’re lost as to what’s going on with the G20 3 Series, this iteration is essentially its second facelift. The first version of the G20 3 Series was launched in Malaysia in 2019 (Global debut in 2018), the first Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) was launched in Malaysia in 2023 (Global debut in 2022), and now in 2025 we [Malaysians] have the 2nd LCI (or LCI II) in our country (Global debut in 2024).

With a general price bump of RM5,000 across the board, the current line-up of the LCI II G20 3 Series in Malaysia includes:

  • 320i  Sport – est. RM290,000 (with BMW Service & Repair Inclusive)
  • 330i M Sport – RM340,200 (with BMW Service & Repair Inclusive)
  • 330Li M Sport – RM347,200 (with BMW Service & Repair Inclusive)
  • M340i xDrive (Edition Jahre)
  • M3

*Yes the M3 is in its 2nd LCI too now. And quietly, the M340i Edition Jahre was already the M340i in its “LCI II” iteration when launched back in April 2025.

What's new on the "LCI II" G20 BMW 3 Series?

And if you’re wondering about the updates that this 2nd LCI brings, you basically get close to no updates on the outside, save for some new exterior paint finishes and some new alloy wheels (at least for the global market).

It is on the inside where you get more significant updates such as the new steering wheel, visual modifications for the instrument panel and modernised decorative elements. Globally, the LCI II G20 also gets a new Performtex upholstery (as seen in the Malaysian-spec BMW i4 eDrive35), but for the Malaysian market, it seems like all variants get the Leather ‘Vernasca’ upholstery.

What's different between the variants of the "LCI II" G20 BMW 3 Series?

To make things easier for you to digest, let’s just lay out just about everything you need to know specs-wise about the “LCI II” G20 BMW 3 Series in a few tables. First off, let’s start with what’s on the outside. Here is what all 4 variants of the non-M 3 Series have to offer

When the first LCI for the G20 was launched in Malaysia, it still came with the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) 330e variant. With this variant quietly dropped (and perhaps set to return with this 2nd LCI), the current lineup consists of petrol and mild hybrid options. If you didn’t know it yet, the M340i xDrive is a mild hybrid while the rest of the pack are purely petrol powered. Here’s what their specs look like:

Now with just about every “usual” variants of the BMW 3 Series now already in Malaysia, will we soon re welcome the Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) 330e?
