Jaecoo Malaysia rebrands to Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia, signals bold new chapter
Jaecoo Malaysia has officially refreshed its brand identity to Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia, aligning itself with Chery’s global strategy and marking a new chapter as the company celebrates its first anniversary in the country.
The dual-branding initiative, already adopted in several international markets, reflects a more unified and forward-looking image under the Chery Group’s expanding global vision. The announcement was made at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025), where the company also teased the upcoming Omoda C7, a C-segment crossover that could soon make its local debut.
“This brand refresh signals our optimism for the market and the growth opportunities here,” said Emily Lek, vice president of Omoda | Jaecoo. “As a dynamic brand with a finger on the pulse of consumers’ preferences and needs, we are ready to elevate the way people experience the Omoda | Jaecoo brand.”
She added that the company aims to go beyond just selling vehicles by offering a personalised lifestyle experience, positioning itself as Malaysia’s challenger premium off-road SUV brand.
Over the past year, Jaecoo has made a strong impression on the Malaysian automotive scene. More than 12,000 vehicles were registered, and the dealership network grew to 45 outlets nationwide. The brand also introduced advanced electrified mobility to the market with the launch of the Jaecoo J7 PHEV in February, featuring the company’s Super Hybrid System (SHS).
The rebranding sets the stage for further expansion and product diversification, with the Omoda C7poised to be the next major launch. Though full specifications were not revealed, the C7 preview hints at the brand’s continued push into the competitive compact SUV segment with a focus on cutting-edge design and technology.
As the newly minted Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia looks to the future, the brand is doubling down on its commitment to innovation, premium styling, and redefining what consumers can expect from a new-generation SUV marque in Malaysia.
