iCaur makes Malaysian debut at MAS 2025 with 03, 03T and V23 EV models
The Malaysia Autoshow 2025 has officially welcomed the arrival of iCaur, a new EV-focused brand under Chery, making its public debut with three all-electric models: the iCaur 03, the rugged 03T variant, and the adventure-ready V23 SUV.
Previously known as iCar in China, the iCaur nameplate has been adopted for international markets, marking the brand’s expansion outside its domestic territory. Malaysia is among the first countries to witness this rollout as part of Chery’s global strategy to bring iCaur to over 100 countries in the next three years.
iCAUR V23
Taking the spotlight at the show is the iCaur V23, a boxy, adventure-focused electric SUV designed with active lifestyles in mind. Its muscular silhouette and high-riding stance immediately set it apart on the show. The V23 is available in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations:
RWD Variant:
- Electric motor output: 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW), 180 Nm
Battery options:
- 59.93-kWh LFP (up to 401 km)
- 81.76-kWh NMC (up to 550 km)
AWD Variant:
- Adds front motor: 75 PS (74 hp / 55 kW), 112 Nm
- Combined output: 211 PS (208 hp / 155 kW), 292 Nm
- Battery: 81.76-kWh NMC only (up to 501 km)
In China, the V23 retails between 109,800 and 149,800 yuan (approx. RM65,000 to RM89,000). With its off-road-inspired styling and practical dimensions—4,220 mm long, 1,915 mm wide, 1,845 mm tall, and 2,735 mm wheelbase—the V23 is positioned as a flexible option for urban and recreational use.
iCAUR 03
Sharing the spotlight with the V23 are the iCaur 03 and 03T, stylish electric crossovers built for the city and beyond. The 03 was previously previewed at last year’s autoshow under the Jaecoo J6 name, but it now returns under its global iCaur badge—joined this time by the 03T, a tougher, more rugged-looking variant with the same electric powertrains. It is slightly larger than the V23 and also offers both RWD and AWD variants
RWD Variant:
- Motor: 184 PS (181 hp / 135 kW), 220 Nm
Battery options:
- 50.63-kWh LFP (401 km)
- 65.69-kWh LFP (501 km)
AWD Variant:
- Additional front motor: 95 PS (94 hp / 70 kW), 165 Nm
- Combined output: 279 PS (275 hp / 205 kW), 385 Nm
Battery options:
- 65.69-kWh (472 km)
- 69.77-kWh (501 km)
Dimensions come in at 4,406 mm (L), 1,910 mm (W), 1,715 mm (H), and a 2,715 mm wheelbase. In China, pricing ranges from 109,800 to 139,800 yuan (approx. RM65,000 to RM83,000).
Interestingly, this will not be the 03’s first appearance in Malaysia—it was previously previewed under a different name, the Jaecoo J6, during Malaysia Autoshow 2024.
The iCaur V23, 03 and 03T are now on display at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, happening from May 22 to 26 at MAEPS Serdang. The show runs daily from 10am to 10pm—drop by to get a closer look at these exciting new EVs and see what iCaur has in store for the Malaysian market.
