All-new 2025 Toyota RAV4 teased – Land Cruiser-esque interior, reveal set for 21 May
Toyota has released the first teaser image of what’s widely believed to be the all-new 2025 Toyota RAV4. While the model hasn’t been confirmed, signs point to this being the successor to the current XA50, which has been on the market since 2018.
Judging by the teaser, the 2025 RAV4 interior draws inspiration from the latest Land Cruiser Prado. The dashboard is angular and bold, featuring hexagonal air vents, a chunky steering wheel, and what appears to be a more utilitarian layout.
In terms of tech, a large, freestanding digital instrument cluster sits behind the wheel, while a second widescreen display – likely the infotainment unit – dominates the centre. A wireless charging pad is placed on a raised shelf ahead of the gear selector, which has been replaced with a compact toggle switch, sitting beside dual cupholders.
The image also hints at a more premium touch-and-feel, with layered textures across the dashboard and what seems to be a more driver-centric layout.
Under the skin, the 2025 Toyota RAV4 is expected to continue on an updated version of the TNGA-K platform, which also underpins the latest Camry.
Engine options will likely include:
- A 2.5L naturally aspirated Dynamic Force engine with around 207 PS
- A 2.5L hybrid powertrain producing roughly 234 PS
- An upgraded plug-in hybrid (PHEV) with a longer EV range of up to 130 km
There’s also speculation that Toyota may introduce a fully-electric RAV4, although this is yet to be confirmed.
