2025 Xpeng G6 facelift launched in China with 81 upgrades, including Turing AI ADAS

Xpeng has officially unveiled the 2025 G6 facelift in China, featuring 81 notable upgrades that enhance both its aesthetics and technology. Deliveries are set to begin early this month, with the most significant highlight being the introduction of Xpeng’s advanced Turing AI intelligent driving system.

At first glance, the visual updates on the 2025 Xpeng G6 facelift appear minimal, but a closer look reveals several refinements. The most noticeable change is the new full-width “galaxy light wing” LED light strip on the front, replacing the segmented design of the outgoing model. Additionally, the Xpeng logo has been repositioned onto the hood, complementing the redesigned front fascia, which now features a blackened trapezoidal lower grille. A new blue light indicator, signifying the advanced intelligent driving system, has also been introduced.

On the sides, the facelifted G6 sports black-finished petal-style alloy wheels, while the rear has been updated with a revised bumper and a new ducktail spoiler, adding a more dynamic touch.

Inside, the 2025 Xpeng G6 receives significant updates, including a new interior color scheme, improved material quality, and a refreshed cabin layout. The centrepiece is a 15.6-inch floating infotainment screen, paired with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for a more modern and immersive driving experience.

Xpeng has also updated the steering wheel, equipping it with capacitive buttons for improved functionality. A new ambient lighting system, called “galaxy rhythm”, enhances the cabin’s atmosphere. Additional storage compartments, a wireless charging pad, and redesigned air ventsfurther improve the interior’s practicality.

For added comfort, the front seats now come with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. Xpeng claims that its shiatsu-level massage feature is the most advanced in its class, offering a Japanese-inspired therapeutic experience. Other refinements include an ultra-fine suede headliner, reduced panel gaps for a more seamless interior finish, and wood grain trims on the dashboard.

Mechanically, the 2025 Xpeng G6 retains its single rear-mounted motor, producing 296 PS. However, the key upgrade comes in the form of a 5C ultra-fast charging AI battery, which promises improved range and significantly reduced charging time. While the official battery capacity and range figures have yet to be announced, reports suggest that the new G6 could feature lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs instead of the ternary lithium ones found in the pre-facelift model.

The most significant upgrade in the 2025 Xpeng G6 facelift is the introduction of the Turing AI intelligent driving system. This advanced autonomous driving technology aims to provide a more intuitive and responsive experience. While specific details remain scarce, early reports indicate that Turing AI ADAS may rely on camera-based technology rather than lidar, marking a shift in Xpeng’s approach to assisted driving.

In a recent announcement, Xpeng confirmed that Turing AI will be rolled out globally in 2026, but for now, it remains exclusive to the Chinese market.

Currently, the 2025 Xpeng G6 facelift is only available in China, with a local market launch expected later this month. In Malaysia, the Xpeng G6 is distributed by Bermaz Xpeng Sdn Bhd and is fully imported (CBU) from China. The current lineup includes:

580 Pro – RM 165,820

755 Pro – RM 185,820

While there’s no official word on whether the facelifted G6 will be introduced in Malaysia, the significant technological and design improvements make it an exciting prospect for the future.
