2025 Proton eMas 7 updated with Apple CarPlay, new colour – OTA rollout from 21 July, Android Auto still pending

The 2025 Proton eMas 7 has received an update, bringing Apple CarPlay support (wired and wireless), a new exterior colour, limited-run interior options, and user experience tweaks.

Apple CarPlay tops the list of changes and arrives as part of an over-the-air (OTA) update that will begin rolling out to existing cars from 21 July. It’s a long-requested feature, now delivered without the need for any hardware changes. Android Auto, however, is still missing and will only be added toward the end of 2025.

The Flyme Auto operating system has been updated to improve responsiveness and now supports a wider range of third-party apps like Zoom, izi.TRAVEL, and Vivaldi Browser. In-car settings will also now persist between drive sessions.

Cosmetically, a new Obsidian Black exterior colour is available across variants. Inside, an Alabaster White interior trim is being offered exclusively for Quartz Rose and Turquoise Green Premium units, limited to just 250 cars per colour.

Other tweaks include new pedestrian warning sounds, with two additional tone options called “Galactic Note” and “Space Walk” that join the existing “Classical” profile. Drivers can now select a preferred melody, which will remain saved even after the car is turned off.

As part of the update, all eMas 7 units now come standard with a tonneau cover. Existing owners will receive the same item free of charge via a separate distribution programme.

Pro-Net is also offering a new sales bundle dubbed “Power Pack+,” which includes:

There are no changes in pricing following this update. The Proton eMas 7 remains available in two variants:

eMas 7 Prime – RM 105,800 on‑the‑road (OTR), excluding insurance (after RM 4,000 rebate)
eMas 7 Premium – RM 119,800 OTR, excluding insurance (after RM 4,000 rebate)
