2025 BMW 330Li M Sport launched in Malaysia – finally gets adaptive cruise control, RM320,800

In case it slipped under your radar, BMW Malaysia has refreshed the BMW 330Li M Sport, and it’s currently being showcased at the ongoing Malaysia Autoshow 2025. While this might look like the same second Life Cycle Impulse (LCI II) facelift of the G20 3 Series we first saw earlier this year, the long-wheelbase version lands with several key updates tailored specifically for our market.

Let’s get the numbers out of the way. The updated BMW 330Li M Sport is now priced at RM320,800 on-the-road without insurance, a RM6,000 increase over the outgoing model. This includes BMW’s standard two-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. If you prefer the added peace of mind, the optional five-year warranty and service package (currently extended to six years until May 31) brings the price up to RM347,200.

While the core remains familiar, the upgrades are both meaningful and practical. The biggest news is the inclusion of adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, bringing a long-awaited feature to Malaysian buyers. However, lane centring assist and full Level 2 semi-autonomous driving remain absent — at least for now.

Still, the BMW 330Li M Sport comes loaded with a robust suite of active safety systems. These include autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, rear collision warning, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beam.

Also new is a 360-degree camera system with Remote 3D View, accessible via the My BMW app. This replaces the standard reverse camera and enhances the existing Parking Assistant Plus package, which includes automated parking for parallel and perpendicular spaces, along with a handy reversing assistant.

The other standout update is found in the audio department. The previous 10-speaker HiFi setup has been replaced by a 16-speaker, 464-watt Harman Kardon system, promising a far more immersive in-cabin listening experience.

The rest of the tech remains top-tier, featuring the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, a head-up display, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Qi wireless charging.

Inside, the BMW 330Li maintains its familiar blend of comfort and sportiness, with power-adjustable front sports seats, Vernasca leather upholstery, and a Sensatec-wrapped dashboard. You still get the M Sport flat-bottomed steering wheel, matte dark graphite trim, and galvanic silver switchgear, but the cabin is now elevated further by CraftedClarity crystal elements on the iDrive controller, volume knob, gear selector, and start/stop button.

Exterior equipment remains unchanged, with the BMW 330Li continuing to wear its M Sport bodykit, 18-inch Style 848 M alloys, and a choice of three exterior colours: Carbon Black, M Brooklyn Grey, and Arctic Race Blue. The long wheelbase not only gives it a sleeker silhouette but also ensures added rear-seat comfort — one of its strongest selling points. Inside, the cabin is offered in either Mocha or Cognac tones.
