2021 Suzuki Jimny launched in Malaysia, from RM168,900

The 2021 Suzuki Jimny has been launched in Malaysia, under new distributor, Naza Eastern Motors Sdn Bhd.

Fully imported from Japan (CBU), prices for the 2021 Suzuki Jimny start at RM 168,900. Albeit sounding overpriced for such a small car, 30 bookings have already been collected to date.

The Jimny has always been known as a small but very capable off-roader. Its short wheelbase prevents high-centering and its short overhangs provide a great approach angle (37°) and departure angle (49°).

A part-time 4WD system underpins the 2021 Suzuki Jimny.

The 2021 Suzuki Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre K15B engine (102 PS/130 Nm) mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. No manual options are available.

UK-spec Suzuki Jimny with 5-speed manual transmission

The 2021 Suzuki Jimny in Malaysia is admittedly a rather bare-bones spec car with only 2 airbags and no ADAS. Worry not, it still is equipped with basic safety like ABS and ESP.

Straight from Japan, the 2021 Suzuki Jimny offers a 3-year/100,000-km warranty.
