From RM100k, 2026 Hyundai Stargazer launched in Malaysia – CBU, 1.5L NA, CVT

Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has launched the Hyundai Stargazer in Malaysia as a fully-imported (CBU) model from Indonesia. It comes in three variants – Style, Prime, and X – with prices starting from RM 99,800. The Hyundai Stargazer was first unveiled back in June at the 2026 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS). The prices for each variant are listed below.

Hyundai Stargazer Style (7-seater) – RM 99,800
Hyundai Stargazer Prime (7-seater) – RM 109,800
Hyundai Stargazer X (6-seater) – RM 121,800

Although introduced as a new model, the Hyundai Stargazer unveiled here is actually a facelifted version already on sale in Thailand and Indonesia. The Hyundai Stargazer is set to compete with the likes of the Mitsubishi Xpander and Toyota Veloz.

The Hyundai Stargazer Prime variant measures 4,610 mm long, 1,820 mm wide, and 1,740 mm tall, with a 2,780 mm wheelbase. That being said, the Hyundai Stargazer X variant is 35 mm longer, 40 mm wider, and 30 mm taller than the Prime variant, due to its added sporty exterior elements and roof rails.

The front end features a boxy and angular design, highlighted by box-shaped, multifaceted reflector (MFR) LED headlights with LED daytime running lights (DRLs), accompanied by a rectangular-pattern grille positioned above the angular lower bumper. At the rear, the LED taillights form a distinctive H-shaped light signature.

Under the bonnet sits a Smartstream 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder MPI engine producing 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque. It is paired with Hyundai’s IVT, a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that uses a chain belt, sending power to the front wheels. Suspension duties are handled by MacPherson struts at the front and a Coupled Torsion Beam Axle (CTBA) rear suspension.

Stepping inside, it is clear that the interior has been refreshed, with several new and upgraded features compared to its predecessor. The most notable change is the new 10.25-inch integrated display, which combines the instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen into a single panoramic unit.
