From RM90k, 2026 Honda City facelift launched – 4 variants, AACP and BLIS as standard

Honda Malaysia has launched the 2026 Honda City, the second facelift for the 4th-generation City, which now comes in only four variants. The previous S variant has been dropped. The Honda City facelift starts at RM 89,900 and comes with an 8-year warranty, unlimited mileage, and five free labour services within 100,000 km or five years. An additional 10-year hybrid battery and component warranty with unlimited mileage is included for the hybrid variant.

The Honda City facelift gets a refreshed front exterior with a redesigned grille, complemented by the new Long Light Bar headlights on the RS variant. The new Bi-LED headlights come as standard across all variants. It also gets air curtains on each side of the updated and sleeker front bumper. At the rear, there is a set of clear-lens LED taillights and a trunk spoiler, both exclusive to the RS variants.

Under the bonnet sits the familiar L15Z 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder engine, offering 121 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm, paired with a CVT. Meanwhile, the e variant’s system consists of an Atkinson-cycle 1.5-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder engine acting as a generator to recharge the battery. Together with the primary electric traction motor, which produces 109 PS and 253 Nm of torque, it drives the front wheels through the e-CVT.

Top speed is rated at 195 km/h, while the e:HEV variant can reach up to 177 km/h. The 0–100 km/h sprint takes 10.4 seconds, while the e:HEV takes only 9.7 seconds to complete the same sprint. In terms of fuel consumption, the non-hybrid variants achieve 5.6 litres per 100 km, while the e:HEV variant achieves 3.7 litres per 100 km, according to Honda.

Interior-wise, the overall design remains the same as the previous iteration, with slight new features added. For starters, all variants except the E get a new 10-inch centre screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, combination leather upholstery, and ambient lighting.
