From est. RM 104K, Toyota Vios Hybrid launching soon – 2 variants, GR Sport returns

UMWT has released details via the official Toyota Malaysia website for the upcoming Toyota Vios Hybrid. The 2026 Toyota Vios Hybrid comes in two variants: the 1.5 HEV AT, estimated to be priced at RM 103,900, and the 1.5 HEV GR-S AT, estimated to be priced at RM 109,900.

The Toyota Vios Hybrid now utilizes the Toyota 4th-gen hybrid system, which gives excellent fuel efficiency by shutting off the petrol engine during high traffic urban commutes. Claimed by Toyota to have a fuel consumption of 3.6 litres per 100 km (NEDC). No fine details on the powertrain yet, but by referencing Thailand’s Toyota Yaris Ativ Hybrid specs, the powertrain details are listed below:

Silver Metallic and Celestite Grey Metallic colours are exclusive to the standard variant

The GR-S variant adds:

A few notable details include a new EV mode that enables full electric driving, but no details on the range yet. A compact lithium-ion battery sits below the rear passenger seats to maximise boot storage capacity. Exclusive to the GR-S variant are the GR-S-tuned springs and dampers to handle corners and road imperfections effortlessly.

The Toyota Vios Hybrid will be sold with a five-year vehicle warranty with unlimited mileage, and an eight-year warranty with unlimited mileage that covers the hybrid battery, inverter, and power management control ECU.
