2021 Toyota Fortuner GR Sport To Launch In Thailand On 26 August

After Indonesia, Thailand will receive the sportier version of the Toyota Fortuner, named the Toyota Fortuner GR Sport, on 26 August 2021.
No details have been disclosed, but if we look at the Indonesian version, the GR Sport kit includes a dark-chrome grille (instead of black), GR Sport badges, and a different wheel design.

On the inside, the GR Sport Toyota Fortuner (Indonesia) gets features like a 9-inch infotainment unit with voice command, a roof-mounted entertainment unit, a wireless mobile phone charger, and power adjustable front seats.

In Thailand, the Toyota Fortuner is currently available with either a 2.4-litre – (152 PS/400 Nm) or a 2.8-litre (206 PS/500 Nm) turbo diesel engine. Both 2.4- and 2.8-litre engines are paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Both engine versions can be purchased with a 2WD or 4WD drivetrain.
Regular version of the Thai-spec Toyota Fortuner
The GR Sport version will most probably me available for both 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre versions. In Thailand, a kitted up ‘Legender’ version is also available to Thai buyers.

Over in Malaysia, the Toyota Fortuner is offered with the 2.8-litre turbodiesel engine, but the 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine is only available in East Malaysia. However, a 2.7-litre NA petroleum gasoline engine (166 PS/245 Nm) version is available.
Seeing that Thailand will get the GR Sport Toyota Fortuner after Indonesia, it is typical to expect a Malaysian version to appear after.
