The Proton e.MAS7 is the first EV to score a 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating

Together with the launch of the new Proton e.MAS 7, its ASEAN NCAP results are now out too, with the scoring a 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating. Usually not a surprise, this is the first time an electric car has scored a 5-star rating, since the Neta V miserably failed with a 0-star rating not so long ago.

For the ASEAN NCAP test, the Proton e.MAS 7 scored 31.20/32.00 points for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), 44.17/51.00 for Child Occupant Protection, 21.00/21.00 points for Safety Assist, and 13.00/16.00 points for Motorcyclist safety. Its overall score is 92.57 points, which corresponds to a 5-star rating.

The Proton e.MAS 7 is equipped with autonomous emergency braking, advanced safety assist technologies, blind spot detection, and 6 airbags.
