Omoda C9 PHEV previewed in Malaysia – 605 PS, 150 km EV range, from est. RM220k

Also shown at the Omoda | Jaecoo Carnival along with the Jaecoo J5 is the Omoda C9 PHEV, the brand’s most powerful model to date.

The Omoda C9 PHEV combines a 1.5-litre turbo engine with three electric motors for total outputs of 605 PS and 915 Nm. Power is managed through a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) with electric all-wheel drive. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.9 seconds.

Energy comes from a 34.46-kWh LFP battery providing up to 150 km of pure EV range and around 1,100 km in hybrid mode. Charging supports up to 70 kW DC (30–80% in 25 mins) and 6.6 kW AC (5.5 hours from 30–100%).

Suspension is by MacPherson struts and rear multi-link with Continuous Damping Control (CDC), adjustable 100 times per second and offering seven driving modes.

Equipment mirrors the ICE C9, including heated and ventilated seats, panoramic roof, and ADAS, though full specifications are pending. Externally, the PHEV can be identified by a charging port door, blue ‘C9’ badge, and ‘PHEV’ emblem.

Estimated pricing is RM 220,000, a RM 31,200 premium over the C9 AWD ICE model (RM 188,800).
