Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel launched in Malaysia at RM193k, 250 PS/600 Nm, 10AT

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion has introduced the Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel in Malaysia. Priced at RM 192,888 in Peninsular Malaysia, the new addition sits above the existing Wildtrak 2.0-litre models.

Under the bonnet is a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel producing 250 PS at 3,250 rpm and 600 Nm from 1,750–2,250 rpm. Drive goes to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission and an electronic locking rear differential. Six drive modes are available: Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, and Sand, along with four driveline modes: 2H, 4H, 4L and 4A. The variant also gains the E-Shifter transmission, shared with the Ranger Platinum, Stormtrak and Raptor.

The Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.0L V6 retains a one-tonne payload and 3.5-tonne towing capacity. Suspension is by double wishbones at the front and leaf springs at the rear, with ventilated discs in front and solid discs at the back. Standard wheels are 20-inch alloys with 255/55R20 tyres.

Exterior kit features Matrix LED headlamps, C-clamp DRLs, and a V6 badge on the fenders. Colour options include Luxe Yellow, Meteor Grey, Absolute Black and Arctic White.

Equipment highlights include a 12-inch portrait touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, five USB ports (including one for dashcam), a wireless charger, and 230V sockets in the rear cabin and cargo bed. Instrumentation is by an 8-inch TFT display.

Safety and driver assist kit consists of blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning with lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centring, rear cross-traffic alert and post-collision braking. The interior is trimmed in black leather with orange stitching, with both front seats offering eight-way power adjustment.
