Nissan Z GT500 unveiled, replacing R35 GT-R in Super GT Series

Nissan and Nismo have unveiled the Nissan Z GT500, replacing the previous Nissan GT-R in the Super GT Series.

Aptly unveiled at the Fuji International Speedway, The Nissan Z GT500 continues on the racing legacy of the “Z” name, succeeding the likes of the S30 240Z in the SCCA C Production Series, the Z32 300ZX in the IMSA Series, and the Z33 in the JGTC/Super GT series.

Although not much technical details were shared, Nissan and Nismo has given us a treat by broadcasting a demonstration run of the Nissan Z GT500 together with previous Nissan/Nismo legends in the Super GT Series.

According to Nissan, its decision to enter the highly competitive Super GT series with the all-new Nissan Z sports car is part of the Nissan NEXT Transformation plan announced in May 2020.
