The Proton e.MAS 7 is now open for booking, with an estimated starting price of RM120,000, and you can reserve it without setting foot outside. Thanks to Proton’s new e.MAS App, securing your spot for this C-segment SUV is as simple as a few taps on your phone. Here’s where to download the app:
The app is pitched as a “dynamic platform designed to enhance the user experience from booking through ownership,” simplifying vehicle booking, service scheduling, and access to Malaysia’s EV charging network.
Booking fee for the e.MAS 7 is RM500. It sits in the C-segment SUV class, meaning it’s comparable in size to the Proton X70 and even the Honda CR-V. But unlike its petrol-driven cousins, the e.MAS 7 goes head-to-head with EV rivals like the BYD Atto 3 and Chery Omoda E5.

You’ll get to choose between two variants, Prime and Premium, which differ in battery size:
- Prime: 49.52 kWh battery, with a WLTP range of 345 km
- Premium: 60.22 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of 410 km
Both models support up to 80 kW (Prime) and 100 kW (Premium) DC fast charging, allowing a 30-80% charge in roughly 20 minutes. For home charging, both offer 11 kW AC rates, with full top-ups taking 4.9 to 6.1 hours, depending on the battery.
The Prime model sits on 18-inch alloys, while the Premium steps up to 19-inch wheels.
The interior features a 15.4-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.2-inch instrument panel, both powered by Flyme OS, courtesy of Meizu. The infotainment handles everything from air conditioning to ADAS settings, and the Premium variant adds ventilated seats, head-up display and a 16-speaker sound system. ADAS comes standard across both variants.
