2025 Land Rover Defender gets updated with new tech, design, and colours

Land Rover has refreshed the iconic Defender line-up for 2025, bringing updated design elements, improved technology, and even more capability across the 90, 110, 130 and high-performance OCTA variants. The updates further cement Defender’s status as a rugged, modern 4×4 built for serious adventure.

The exterior gains a more refined yet tough look, with redesigned headlights, smoked rear lights, and fog lamps now standard. New colours—like Borasco Grey and Woolstone Green—bring fresh personality to the range, joined by new gloss black grille detailing and a sleek new 22-inch alloy wheel design.

Inside, a larger 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system headlines the tech updates, offering easier control and better visibility. The centre console has been redesigned for improved practicality, now featuring a sliding cubby, removable side pockets, and the option of a centre jump seat for three-across front seating.

Defender’s off-road prowess is now even stronger with the debut of Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control, which maintains ride comfort over rough terrain, allowing the driver to focus on steering. A new Driver Attention Monitor adds extra safety, alerting the driver if it detects signs of distraction.

At the top of the range, the Defender OCTA gets even more exclusive. Powered by a 635PS twin-turbo V8, it now comes in new Sargasso Blue and Borasco Grey shades, with textured graphite and chopped carbon fibre accents for a tougher, more premium look. A Patagonia White Matte Wrap will be available from late 2025.

Inside and out, OCTA continues to impress with 6D Dynamics suspension, Body and Soul seats, and OCTA mode for performance off-roading. Buyers can customise further with various wheel, tyre, and interior options to match their taste and terrain.

Defender 130 now offers an integrated air compressor, ideal for adjusting tyre pressures on the go, while the full Defender range benefits from updated accessories including new blacked-out roof racks, scuff plates, and side steps for easier access.
