The Bentley Continental GT Speed now runs a completely new hybrid setup dubbed the Ultra Performance Hybrid. The V8 produces 600 PS and 800 Nm on its own, featuring 350-bar fuel injection and twin single-scroll turbos.

Turbo lag is effectively eliminated by the electric motor, which adds 190 PS and 450 Nm. The system supports electric-only driving at up to 140 km/h with 75% throttle, and manages torque delivery based on drive mode. Regenerative braking and charge mode allow real-world EV usage.

This generation rides on a new 400V architecture with an emphasis on body control and comfort. The new dual-valve dampers and revised ESC software are said to enable distinct personality changes across drive modes. ESC can be fully deactivated, allowing for power-on cornering balance in Dynamic mode. Despite its size and weight, the GT remains composed over rough roads and feels smaller than it is from behind the wheel.

Visually, the car does without the twin headlamps for the first time since the 1950s. The new matrix LED units incorporate 120 individual diodes (up 50% from before) and feature deep crystal-cut detailing with an illuminated lower pattern. Rear changes include a redesigned bumper and boot lid with integrated aero, new 3D taillight graphics, and wider visual stance. The new 22-inch wheels have a claw-like motif inspired by a resting tiger.

Inside, the Bentley Continental GT Speed gets sculpted quilting, fading perforations, and quilt embroidery feature on the seats and doors. Optional “Wellness seats” add postural adjustment and climate control functions. A new Dark Chrome finish gives a stealthier look to cabin brightwork, and three audio systems are offered, including a top-end Naim setup with active bass in the seats. Laminated acoustic glass further isolates the cabin from road and wind noise.

The rotating centre display remains, offering three faces that include touchscreen, analogue dials, or pure veneer depending on driver preference. HVAC has also been upgraded, with air ionisation, a particulate matter filter, and GPS-linked recirculation for tunnel driving.

ADAS now includes a real-time environment display, adaptive cruise with stop-and-go, and lane-centring. While Bentley doesn’t quote a formal autonomy level, the features align with SAE Level 2 semi-autonomous driving.

The 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed is now on display at the Bentley Kuala Lumpur showroom.
