MercedesTrophy 2026 Malaysia begins in May with E-Class Hole-In-One prize
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia announced the annual MercedesTrophy golf tournament, exclusively for Mercedes-Benz Malaysia customers to enter and compete in. Since its debut in 1991, the tournament has become one of the most prestigious amateur golf competitions worldwide, with over 60,000 golfers participating annually across more than 60 countries.
The tournament consists of four qualifying rounds, with the first round starting on May 12, 2026, and continuing until the final qualifying round on June 10, 2026. Winners from the qualifying rounds will advance to the National Final, which will take place on June 22, 2026, at The ELS Club Desaru Coast, Johor. The top three players with the highest Stableford scores at the National Final will then represent Malaysia at the MercedesTrophy World Final in Germany, from September 28th to October 2nd, 2026.

At each tournament venue throughout the year, the first golfer to achieve a Hole-In-One on either of the two designated par-3 holes will win the Mercedes-Benz E 350 e, a plug-in hybrid sedan valued at RM 427,888 (on-the-road excluding insurance).
The “Drive to the Major” challenge will also be contested, which rewards the golfer with the straightest drive closest to the centre line. The winner earns an all-expenses-paid trip to The Open Championship 2026 (15–20 July 2026)—a once-in-a-lifetime chance to attend one of golf’s most prestigious events.
Other prizes include exclusive Mercedes-Benz merchandise and gifts from partners like Mercedes-Benz Financial, 100Plus, Crestlink, Desaru Coast, TaylorMade, The Edge, and The ELS Club Desaru Coast. Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast also supports the event, adding to its premium experience.
