2025 BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport launched in Malaysia – RM349k, CKD with 48V MHEV
BMW Group Malaysia has officially launched the fourth-generation X3 (G45) at MY BMW World 2025. Offered in a single 20 xDrive M Sport variant, the all-new X3 is locally assembled (CKD) in Kulim and is priced at RM348,700* with the 5-Year Extended Warranty & Service Package. Without the package, the X3 is available from RM320,800.
This marks a new generation for the X3 in Malaysia, replacing the previous G01 facelift model. And while the G45 looks like a subtle evolution on the outside, there are more significant updates under the skin — including the addition of a 48V mild hybrid system, new BMW Operating System 9, and improved driving assistance features. The SUV is now longer, wider and has a noticeably broader rear track for better stance and stability.
*Price without Warranty & Service Package is RM320,800
The all-new X3 20 xDrive M Sport now carries a more sculpted and confident look. The “Iconic Glow” illuminated kidney grille with Pearl Chrome surround adds presence, while the slimmer Adaptive LED headlights with L-shaped DRLs mark a clear departure from the outgoing model. Flush door handles and a bold new front bumper complete the redesigned front fascia. Standard exterior equipment includes:
- Iconic Glow illuminated kidney grille
- Pearl Chrome exterior detailing
- Adaptive LED headlights with high beam assistant
- 19-inch M Y-spoke alloy wheels
- Flush door handles
- Comfort access system
- Standard suspension (no adaptive dampers)
Dimensionally, the G45 X3 grows in all directions except height, giving it a more planted look. Compared to its predecessor:
- +34 mm longer (4,755 mm total)
- +29 mm wider (1,920 mm total)
- −25 mm lower (1,660 mm total)
- +16 mm wider front track, +45 mm at the rear
Step inside, and the first thing that catches your eye is the curved BMW Display — a seamless glass panel that combines a 12.3-inch digital cluster with a 14.9-inch central touchscreen. Running on the new BMW Operating System 9 with QuickSelect, the system now supports full-screen Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Key highlights of the cabin include:
- 12.3” instrument cluster + 14.9” touchscreen with OS 9
- BMW Interaction Bar with touch-sensitive lighting
