Toyota Corolla Cross facelift and new Camry (XV80) to debut at KLIMS 2024
The 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2024) is set to take place this week and Toyota will be revealing 2 of its new cars for the Malaysian market. The first is the new Toyota Corolla Cross facelift, and the second is the new XV80 Toyota Camry.
Unveiled in Thailand back in February this year, the new Toyota Corolla Cross has updated with a new front fascia, an electronic parking brake (EPB), a new floating 10.1-inch headunit, a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and improved connectivity. Four variants are available in Thailand, with petrol and hybrid options available too.
Besides the new Corolla Cross facelift, UMW Toyota Motor will also be showcasing the new XV80 Toyota Camry. Teased via its social media pages, the new Toyota Camry sports a more Prius-like front end and a sportier rear end. Launched in Thailand already, the new Camry over there gets a 2.5-litre hybrid powertrain that puts out a combined output of 227 PS. The engine itself makes 186 PS and 221 Nm while the electric motor puts out 100 kW and 208 Nm.
In Malaysia, the Toyota Corolla Cross is currently available in both petrol and hybrid versions. The Camry, on the other hand, is only available with a petrol powertrain, specifically a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated engine.
Along with the new Toyota Corolla Cross facelift and new XV80 Camry, UMW Toyota Motor may also showcase several Toyota concept cars like the Kayobaiko Concept, the Land Cruiser SE Concept, and the FT-3e concept.
The 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show will bae taking place at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC). The exhibition will be open to the public from December 5 to 11. It will be open from 10am to 8pm on weekdays, and from 10am to 10pm on the weekend (and Friday).
