Pro-Net expands retail network as Proton eMAS sales surge 329.5%
Pro-Net is accelerating its nationwide distribution and sales expansion as it records explosive growth for Proton e.MAS in 2026. The company achieved sales growth of 329.5% in the first four months of 2026, with a total of 11,617 units delivered, underlining consumers’ confidence in electric vehicles. Currently, Proton e.MAS offers three models: two fully electric SUVs, the Proton e.MAS 7 and Proton e.MAS 5, as well as a single PHEV SUV model, the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV.
In conjunction with this rapid sales growth, Pro-Net has expanded its retail footprint with two new retail outlets in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. One is situated along Jalan Sultan Ismail, alongside its existing Proton showroom. The second outlet is located inside Pavilion Bukit Jalil, becoming the national brand’s latest mall-based outlet.
Pro-Net Chief Operating Officer, Zhang Qiang, said, “The rapid growth of Proton e.MAS in Malaysia is driven not only by the strength of our product line-up, but also by the confidence customers have in our sales and after-sales ecosystem.” He added, “By establishing a strong support structure alongside every model launch, we can give customers greater reassurance about the long-term ownership experience while strengthening brand loyalty and advocacy.”
In total, Pro-Net operates 53 sales outlets nationwide, supporting approximately 1,600 employees across sales, servicing, and administration functions, highlighting its commitment to building an EV ecosystem capable of supporting customers throughout long-term Proton e.MAS ownership. Pro-Net aims to strengthen the Proton e.MAS brand as a leading force in Malaysia’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) market by rapidly investing in both physical infrastructure and customer service quality.
The expansion of these premium outlets comes at a pivotal moment, as consumers increasingly prioritise accessibility, charging support, after-sales assurance, and retail experience amid the global fuel crisis, which is pushing more buyers towards electric vehicles. Zhang Qiang added, “We aim to continue expanding our outlet network, and as we do so, Proton e.MAS will be able to reach more potential EV buyers while delivering a higher standard of customer care and convenience.”
