Motul secures SIRIM certification, strengthening quality & authenticity in Malaysia

Global lubricant specialist Motul has officially received SIRIM QAS International certification, reinforcing its commitment to quality and authenticity in Malaysia. The certification, awarded on 10 March 2025, applies to Specialty Lubricants Trading (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., Motul’s authorised distributor in the country.

To help consumers identify genuine Motul products, the official SIRIM conformity label will now be applied to lubricants distributed through authorised channels. This move aims to protect customers from counterfeit products while assuring them of Motul’s high safety and performance standards.

Ts. Md Adha Rahmat, CEO of SIRIM QAS International, stated that this certification sets a new benchmark for safety and authenticity, ensuring engine oils meet strict international quality standards. He also highlighted how it supports Malaysia’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals by promoting sustainable industry practices and reducing vehicle emissions.

Motul’s presence in Malaysia has been steadily growing, supported by strategic partnerships with key distributors nationwide. The SIRIM certification further strengthens these relationships, giving customers even greater confidence in the brand’s quality and reliability.
