Leaked: 2026 Zeekr 009 update gets 900V architecture upgrade
The Zeekr 009 appears to have an update coming soon, based on the filing with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), according to Car News China. The high-end all-electric luxury 7-seater MPV will receive a powertrain upgrade, set to debut at this year’s Auto Beijing, China in late April.
The Zeekr 009 initially launched with a 400-volt system back in 2023, before switching to an 800-volt system in 2024. Included on the 2024 update is also the introduction of a front-wheel drive variant. For 2026, the Zeekr 009 will receive another powertrain update, now fitted with a 900-volt system, which will increase the combined power output to 912 PS (680 kW).
The front electric motor is reportedly to produce 416 PS (310 kW) while the rear electric motor produces 496 PS (370 kW). For reference, the current outgoing all-wheel-drive model produces a combined output of 778 PS (580 kW).
In terms of battery capacity, the filing does not mention any information in that regard. However, it is to be expected that the updated Zeekr 009 will be equipped with a nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery from the CATL-Geely joint venture. The updated Zeekr 009 should be able to hit 12C charging rates, enabling charging from 10% – 80% in seven minutes.
Apart from the powertrain, no further updates have been stated in the filing. The updated Zeekr 009 will retain the same visual aesthetics, as per the 2024 update. Dimensions of the updated Zeekr 009 remain the same and should continue to offer the roof-mounted LiDAR sensor for the Chinese market.
