2024 Kia Sportage launched in Malaysia – from RM147k, four variants

The 2024 Kia Sportage has been launched in Malaysia, and it was unveiled to the public at KLIMS 2024. The new Kia Sportage is available in 4 variants, with prices starting from RM147,218.60 (OTR without insurance). It is a C-segment SUV that rivals the likes of the Honda CR-V and the Proton X70.

Size-wise, the 2024 Kia Sportage measures 4,660 mm long, 1,865 mm wide, and 1,660 mm tall. Its wheelbase measures 2,755 mm long, and this provides it with a 5.89 m turning radius. The Sportage also has a ground clearance of 181 mm. As for its weight, it weighs 1,578 kg. Although there are 4 variants of the Kia Sportage, there are essentially 2 “trims” of the Sportage in Malaysia – “Standard” and “High”.

There are 2 powertrain options for the Kia Sportage in Malaysia. The lower 2 variants are powered by the same naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine, while the 2 higher variants are powered by the same 1.6-litre turbocharged engine. The powertrain details for the lower 2 variants are as such:
