Is the Zeekr 007 GT coming to Malaysia? – 800V shooting brake EV, 0 – 100 in 2.95s

Following the news of the Zeekr 9X confirmed for Malaysia, which is set to arrive as early as late this year, in 2026, another question arises if the Zeekr 007 GT will follow suit. Currently, Zeekr Malaysia offers the Zeekr X, the Zeekr 7X, and the Zeekr 009. With the Zeekr 9X being the fourth model to arrive in Malaysia soon, how about the sleek wagon-like Zeekr 007 GT?

Unfortunately, the Zeekr 007 GT is still under discussion. Zeekr Intelligent Technology General Manager, Eddy Lu, said a few internal discussions will have to be made before deciding on whether the Zeekr 007 will be launched in Right-hand Drive (RHD) form or not, because it’s not just about Malaysia, but the whole RHD market. Eddy Lu also added that Zeekr is not a brand to launch too many products that could potentially confuse the customers, hence launching the right product with the right timing is key.

The Zeekr 007 GT is the shooting brake variant of the Zeekr 007 sedan, which was launched back in early 2025 in China. Built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), the Zeekr GT measures 4,864 mm long and 1,900 mm wide and comes with an 800-volt system. Two battery options are offered: a 75-kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) unit, which delivers 650 km of CLTC range, and a 100-kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) unit, which delivers 825 km of CLTC range.

The charging times are very quick with the 75 kWh LFP unit does charges from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes, while the 100 kWh NMC units charge the same amount in 15 minutes.

In just 2.59 seconds, the 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is also very quick for the dual-motor AWD variant, producing 646 PS and 710 Nm of torque. The single-motor RWD variant is also equally impressive, producing 421 PS and 440 Nm of torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.

The Zeekr 007 GT pairs air springs and adaptive damping with a double-wishbone front and multi-link rear setup to deliver both comfort and sharp handling. Tyres and wheels setup is between 19-inch wheels with 245/45 tyres or 20-inch wheels wrapped in 255/40 tyres.

Inside, the cabin matches premium EV expectations, featuring Nappa full-grain leather, spa-style massage seats, and an infotainment system driven by a Qualcomm 8295 chip. Its G-Pilot H7 driver-assistance system relies on dual Nvidia Orin-X processors, supported by lidar, HD cameras, and millimetre-wave radar.
