GWM Malaysia teases 4 new models – ORA 05, Haval Raptor, and Wey 03?
GWM Malaysia has announced its strategic roadmap for 2026 to 2028, reinforcing its long-term commitment to building a strong presence in Malaysia. In 2025, GWM Malaysia recorded nearly 5,900 vehicle sales, representing 177% year-on-year growth. The Chinese brand is targeting a 6% market share, 60,000 annual sales by 2028, and a position among Malaysia’s top 10 automotive brands, including a top-three ranking among Chinese brands.
GWM Malaysia CEO, Roslan Abdullah, said, “The growth we achieved in 2025 shows that we are building something meaningful and that we are on the right path. It reflects growing confidence in our products, our people, and the strength of our dealers, together with our after-sales capabilities and ecosystem.”
He added, “Looking ahead, our focus is on translating this momentum into long-term value by putting the right foundations in place, so our growth is not only sustained but continues to strengthen the brand in the years ahead.”
To support this growth, GWM Malaysia plans to expand its product pipeline. This includes the soon-to-be-launched GWM Tank 300 HEV, as well as upcoming B-segment and C-segment SUV models, including a luxury C-segment SUV, all slated for release between 2026 and 2027. Specific models have not yet been confirmed, but it is speculated that these may include the GWM ORA 5, the Haval Raptor, and the Wey 03. Furthermore, the company’s Hi4 intelligent hybrid system will be applied across all future models.
Beyond product development, the brand is also enhancing and expanding its dealer and after-sales network. GWM Malaysia aims to establish 60 dealerships nationwide, with expansion focused on key strategic locations. Starting in 2026, updated corporate identity standards will set a clear benchmark, ensuring a more consistent and premium experience across all retail outlets.
GWM Malaysia reaffirmed that after-sales service remains a key element in building customer trust. This includes providing rigorous technical training programmes, achieving 95% nationwide parts fulfilment, and consistently deploying the GWM Care System to enhance customer satisfaction throughout the ownership journey.
Finally, GWM Malaysia continues its long-term commitment to localisation and CKD operations, positioning Malaysia as a key ASEAN growth and export hub.
