Toyota bZ4X launched in Malaysia – RM 220k, FWD, 227 PS, 525 km range, mid-size EV SUV

UMW Toyota Malaysia (UMWT) has launched the Toyota bZ4X (alongside the Hilux BEV and the Urban Cruiser), with a starting price of RM 220,000. It is available in a single variant only, arriving in Malaysia as a CBU unit from Japan, featuring a single-motor, front-wheel-drive layout that produces 227 PS and offers a WLTP range of 573 km.

Dimension-wise, the 5-seater EV SUV measures 4,690 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. Ground clearance is rated at 200 mm.

At the front, the Toyota bZ4X features a hammerhead front-end design with a central light bar connecting the full LED headlights, each with integrated daytime running lights. From the side, it features wide front and rear black body cladding, along with full LED taillights at the rear. An additional RM800 is required for the Platinum White Pearl MC, Precious Metal, and Emotional Red 2 colour options.
