Toyota Hilux BEV launched in Malaysia – RM 227k, dual-motor AWD, 196 PS, 268 km range

UMW Toyota Malaysia (UMWT) has launched the Toyota Hilux BEV (together with the bZ4X and the Urban Cruiser), with a starting price of RM226,300. It is available only in a double-cab variant and arrives in Malaysia as a CBU unit from Thailand. The ninth-generation Hilux pick-up truck features a dual-motor AWD configuration, producing a combined power output of 196 PS, and offers a WLTP range of 240 km.

Dimension-wise, the Toyota Hilux BEV measures 5,320 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,085 mm. The ground clearance is 215 mm and has a wading capability of 700 mm. At the front, the Toyota Hilux BEV features a body-coloured upper grille (an exclusive design for this model), complemented by LED headlamps. At the rear, it features a sidestep for easy access to the cargo bed and ‘TOYOTA’ lettering on the tailgate. An additional RM 800 is required for the Platinum White Pearl colour option.
