From RM126k, 2026 BYD Atto 3 facelift launched in Malaysia – up to 313PS and 510km
BYD Cars Malaysia has launched the facelifted BYD Atto 3 in Malaysia, following multiple teasers shared by the company. A fully electric SUV, the BYD Atto 3 facelift is offered in two variants and is priced from RM 125,800 for the Ultra variant and RM 138,800 for the Premium variant. The prices are RM 2,000 higher than those of the pre-facelift model at launch, due to the import and excise duties imposed on fully imported (CBU) EVs starting in 2026.

Starting with the dimensions, the BYD Atto 3 facelift remains similar to its pre-facelift predecessor, measuring 4,455 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,615 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. Exterior changes include sleeker front and rear bumpers, as well as taillights featuring multiple triangular graphic elements. The new rear spoiler incorporates twin centre brake lights, while the D-pillar now features a smooth surface instead of the previous scaly design. For the Premium variant, the charging port has been relocated to the rear.

The powertrain is where the BYD Atto 3 facelift (Premium variant) receives the most significant upgrade. It is now equipped with a new rear-mounted electric motor producing 313 PS and 380 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in 5.5 seconds. The enhanced performance is supported by a larger 74.8 kWh Blade LFP battery, providing a WLTP-rated range of 510 km. Meanwhile, the lower Ultra variant retains a similar powertrain setup to the pre-facelift model, apart from an improved DC charging rate.

Another update exclusive to the Premium variant is the new dual-jointed MacPherson front strut and five-link rear suspension setup, replacing the previous four-link rear suspension. The cheeky removal of the dual-level boot floor, side storage nets, and the use of thinner rear seat backs have freed up an additional 50 litres of luggage space. Thus, increasing total boot capacity to 490 litres, expandable to 1,360 litres with the rear seats folded. With the electric motor now positioned at the rear, the Premium variant also gains a new 101-litre frunk. Meanwhile, the Ultra variant retains the 434-litre boot capacity, expandable to 1,304 litres.
Inside, the dashboard adopts a cleaner design with fewer rippling surfaces. It also receives a new column-mounted gear selector and a steering wheel borrowed from the BYD Atto 2. At the centre is a fixed 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, accompanied by a larger 8.8-inch instrument display and a redesigned centre console featuring two smartphone holders in place of the previous gear selector.

To recap, the BYD Atto 3 facelift has been launched in Malaysia in two variants, priced from RM 125,800 for the Ultra variant to RM 138,800 for the Premium variant. Both variants are covered by a 6-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, as well as an 8-year/160,000 km warranty for the battery and electric motor. Customers can also enjoy a launch package worth up to RM 14,000, which includes overtrade support and a choice between an AC wallbox charger or six years of free scheduled maintenance.
