From RM 89k, 2025 Chery Tiggo Cross launched in Malaysia – CKD, turbo and hybrid variants

Chery Malaysia has officially launched the 2025 Chery Tiggo Cross. You may have caught a glimpse of the hybrid version at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, but today both the 1.5T petrol and 1.5 Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) variants were unveiled in full.

Both variants are locally assembled (CKD) at the Inokom plant in Kulim, alongside the Omoda 5, Omoda E5, Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro. The 1.5T is priced at RM 88,800, while the hybrid gets an estimated price of RM 99,800.

What is it?

The Chery Tiggo Cross is essentially a facelifted Tiggo 4, positioned in that in-between space targeting the Proton X50, Perodua Ativa, and Honda WR-V. Its dimensions:

Length: 4,318 mm
Width: 1,830 mm
Height: 1,670 mm
Wheelbase: 2,610 mm

That puts it just a touch smaller than the Omoda 5, but very close to the X50 in footprint.

Design-wise, this latest version gets a larger grille, slimmer LED headlamps, a full-width tail lamp design, and a more modern interior than the earlier Tiggo 4 previewed in 2022.

Between the two variants, visible exterior differences are the badging and wheel design. The turbo variant gets 18-inch wheel while the hybrid rides on 17-inch wheels.

Inside, the hybrid gets gloss black steering wheel buttons and Chery script on the wheel hub (vs the logo on the turbo). Driver lumbar support is also exclusive to the hybrid.
