2026 Bentley Continental GT S debuts – 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 PHEV, AWD Active Chassis

Bentley has unveiled the ‘S’ range in the Continental GT lineup, called the Bentley Continental GT S and the convertible variant, the Bentley Continental GTC S. The ‘S’ variants are aimed at the performance-focused driver, carrying the same driver-centric mantra as the Supersports.

Starting with the powertrain, the Bentley Continental GT S is powered by a 4.0 litre twin turbocharged V8 producing 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque, capable of 0 – 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 306 km/h. Despite replacing the previous generation’s W12 Speed engine with the new ‘High Performing Hybrid’, the new PHEV V8 powertrain outperforms the V12 by 130 PS horsepower and can drive in fully electric mode with a range of 80 km. A sports exhaust is equipped as standard for the ‘S’ variant to bring the V8 roar to life.

Continuing to the chassis setup, the new Bentley Continental GT S features the Bentley Performance Active Chassis, previously only available with the GT Speed and GT Mulliner models. The new active chassis includes Active All Wheel Drive with front and rear torque vectoring, twin valve dampers, and the 48V Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system. A new generation of ESC software, electronic limited-slip differential, and all-wheel steering completes the package.

Aesthetically, the Bentley Continental GT S also comes with the Blackline Specification, which consists of a dark front lower spoiler, gloss black matrix grilles, plus black Bentley wings and letterings, which sets the vehicle to have a sporting stance. Additionally, dark-tinted front Matrix LED headlamps and taillights further add the dark motif of the Blackline Specification. 22-inch ten swept-spoke alloy wheels come standard in silver or in gloss black with additional cost.

The Bentley Continental GT S gains its own unique interior with the two-colour upholstery split and fluted seat design. Tactile Dinamica technical fabric is used on all key touch points, which include the steering wheel, gear lever, seats, and door inserts. Black veneers come standard, although high-gloss carbon fibre and other finishes are offered as an option.
