2025 Hyundai Santa Fe launched in Malaysia – from RM225k, 1.6T Hybrid and 2.5T AWD, 6 or 7 seats

Hyundai-Motors Malaysia has officially launched the fifth-generation Santa Fe in Malaysia after last week’s preview. Fully imported (CBU) ahead of local assembly, the three-row SUV is priced from RM225,000, with two hybrid variants and a turbocharged petrol flagship.

  • Santa Fe 2.5T Calligraphy (6-seater with captain’s chairs) – RM270,000

Powertrains

The two Hybrid trims share a 1.6L turbocharged Smartstream engine (180 PS/265 Nm) paired with a 65 PS/264 Nm electric motor for combined output of 235 PS and 367 Nm, sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic. The Calligraphy flagship features a new 2.5 L turbocharged Smartstream engine delivering 281 PS and 422 Nm, paired with an 8-speed DCT and HTRAC AWD system.

Exterior wise, the new Santa Fe adopts a squared-off silhouette with H-shaped LED DRLs and a tall, upright face. It measures 4,830 mm in length (+45 mm), 1,900 mm wide, and 1,720 mm tall. It rides on a 2,815 mm wheelbase, now 65 mm longer to improve cabin space.

Interior & Features

All variants come with a curved panoramic display (12.3″ cluster + infotainment), shift-by-wire column gear selector, dual wireless chargers, and fold-flat “terrace” seating.

  • Prime includes LED headlights, 18″ wheels, leather seats, and standard safety tech.
  • Prestige upgrades to projector lamps, 20″ wheels, ventilated front seats, a Bose sound system, HUD, digital rear-view mirror, dual wireless charging, and 360º camera
  • Calligraphy adds Nappa leather, dual sunroofs, heated second-row seats, more drive modes, and premium interior trims

Safety

All variants come with Hyundai SmartSense, including AEB with front/rear/side cross-traffic alerts, adaptive cruise with stop-go & lane centring, blind-spot monitoring with cameras, door opening warning, rear seat reminder, and auto high beams. The Prestige adds enhanced AEB (oncoming vehicles + evasive steering), reverse AEB, dual blind-spot cameras, and remote park assist.

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe comes with an 8‑year/160,000 km warranty, free 1,000 km inspection, and three complimentary labour service intervals.
