1st CKD Haval H6 HEV rolls off Malaysian production line, deliveries to begin in October
GWM Malaysia through its social media page has announced that the first locally-assembled (CKD) Haval H6 has rolled of the production line in Melaka. Assembled by EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB), deliveries of the new hybrid SUV is expected to begin in October 2024. The Haval H6 HEV also has an estimated price of RM145,000
Already teased for the Malaysian market for quite some time now, the Haval H6 HEV has also already been open for bookings since earlier this month. The Haval H6 HEV is an X70-sized SUV, albeit with a hybrid powertrain with a unique dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).
At the moment, GWM Malaysia is offering exclusive-launch rewards for customers who place their booking ahead of the H6’s launch. This includes:
- RM3,000 in exclusive value with a RM1,000 booking fee
- A 10-year/1,000,000 km engine warranty
- An 8-year/1,000,000 km HEV system warranty, including DHT, high voltage battery & cable, and transmission control unit
The hybrid powertrain of the new Haval H6 consists of a 1.-litre turbocharged engine and a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). Combined, the system outputs a maximum power of 243 PS and a maximum torque of 530 Nm. It is also claimed to have a fuel consumption of 5.8 l/100km.
Among the standard exterior features of the Haval H6 are matrix LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels finished in black, and a diamond-like grille pattern, On the inside, it gets power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch touchscreen head unit, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof.
The Haval H6 HEV also comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS and this includes items like adaptive cruise control (ACC) with stop & go, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane centering assist, rear cross traffic alert, intelligent evade system, and traffic sign recognition. Interested customers may already place their bookings here and are entitle to a special pre-launch rewards program.
