Proton eMas 5 Specs
The eMas 5 is a compact five-door hatchback powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor, available in two configurations:
- Prime: 79 PS (58 kW), 130 Nm; 30.12 kWh LFP battery; 225 km WLTP range
- Premium: 116 PS (85 kW), 150 Nm; 40.16 kWh LFP battery; 325 km WLTP range
Both support DC fast charging from 30–80% in 21 minutes (up to 71 kW) and AC charging up to 6.6 kW, with vehicle-to-load (V2L) support. Top speed is 125 km/h for the Prime and 135 km/h for the Premium. Both feature a rear-wheel-drive layout and multi-link rear suspension, uncommon in this price segment.

The styling stays true to the Xingyuan’s soft, rounded silhouette, with a grille-less front end, vertical chrome accents, and new C-pillar “starry” motifs that reference the car’s “Star Wish” design inspiration.

Inside, the eMas 5 features a dual-cowl dashboard design and a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen powered by Proton’s Atlas OS, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bahasa Malaysia “Hi eMas” voice control.
A separate 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster sits ahead of the driver, while the centre console houses a crystalline gear selector, twin cupholders, and minimalist climate controls.
Standard kit on the Prime includes halogen headlights, 16-inch steel wheels, manual air-conditioning, faux leather upholstery, rear air vents, and a 375-litre boot (expandable to 1,320 litres), plus 70-litre frunk.
The Premium adds:
- Full LED exterior lighting
- Two-tone roof and mirrors
- 16-inch D-pad-inspired alloy wheels
- 6-speaker audio system
- 360-degree camera
- Powered tailgate

Both variants come with six airbags, electronic stability control, and hill-hold assist, while the Premium adds an advanced driver assistance suite that includes:
- Autonomous emergency braking (AEB)
- Adaptive cruise control (ACC)
- Lane departure warning (LDW)
- Blind spot monitoring (BSM)
- Rear cross traffic alert (RCTA)
- Door opening warning
- Traffic sign recognition
- Auto high beam
Five exterior colours are available: Moonstone White, Graphite Silver, Slate Grey, plus Marble Cream and Quartz Rose exclusive to the Premium.
The eMas 5 comes with a six-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000 km battery/EV-related components warranty.
