Updated Zeekr 007 with 900-volt system to debut in China soon
According to Headlight Magazine Thailand, China is set to receive a refreshed version of the Zeekr 007, which will be applied to both of its body style variants, the sedan and the shooting brake. For context, the Zeekr 007 is a fully electric sedan from Geely’s premium EV brand, featuring an 800-volt system and a range of up to 870 km (CLTC). The Zeekr 007 comes in two body styles: a sedan body (007) and an estate body, also known as a shooting brake (007 GT).
The first updated feature is the application of a high-voltage electric platform, which will provide faster charging and potentially produce a higher power output from the electric motors. However, no official statement has been made by Zeekr regarding this.
The second update lies in the adoption of the new Nvidia Drive Thor-U 700 TOPS processing chip, replacing the current Nvidia Orin X 508 TOPS processing chip. This allows the updated Zeekr 007 to support the latest Geely Afari Smart (G-ASD) advanced driver assistance system. The new system updates the semi-autonomous cruise control, enabling the updated Zeekr 007 to navigate through a multi-level underground parking lot, through a roundabout, and to distinguish between tollgates and car park barriers.
The updated Zeekr 007 is set to launch in China by the second quarter of 2026.
